Robert Wahl has been a pole vault coach for the past twenty-one years and has been the Pennsylvania State Chairperson for USA’s National & Olympic Pole Vault Development and Education Committee since 1997. He serves on the boards of the Pole Vault Safety Certification Board (pvscb.com) along with pvei.com. Coach Wahl currently is the pole vault coach for Altoona Area (PA) for grades 7^th through 12^th grade where yearly over 80 vaulters actively compete in the vault. At least one of the high school’s vaulters have qualified for the PA state track and field meet each year since 1993 which includes two state champions and ten state medalists. Coach Wahl has helped to coach five student-athletes pole vaulters over 15’ and ten other pole vault student-athletes over 14’. Coach Wahl has been a staff support member at the Reno (NV) Pole Vault Summit for the past 11 years. He currently instructs sociology and criminology courses at the Pennsylvania State University.
